not 39 any more

This is finally the eve of my next year. I have decided that I am ready to be over 39 years old. There has been a lovely fiction in feeling 39. Now that I am giving up that myth, I plan to act a little more mature. The weekly work on quilts and art may not hold the same place in my daily life.  I must look at more of the whole.  health is no longer to be taken for granted,. I see myself being much more deliberate about exercise as a necessity.  I still do not think it is healthy to aim at                       productivity as a virtue. I have too many interests to give up a bunch just to be productive. I will make progress on exercise in order to enjoy life and have the energy to make art. an hour for meditation for spiritual health is needed. an hour for exercise for health.a n hour for culinary work is needed to nurture our bodies.    an  hour for reading and an hour of together time to feed our marriage see

Rainy Day!

I love the sound of rain on the roof. Three inches in the rain gauge. Would have been easy to just curl up with a book and the cat, but had fun with a friend stitching.
I am trying to set a time-- Wednesday morning for fiber work-- invite friends to stop in and just do fibers for a couple hours. Today was second Wednesday in a row that it has worked.  I worked with yarn and d worked on a crazy block. Very good vibes. We both made progress. Yea!

Cedar pollen gone at last!

Today to great! Male cedar trees are all in huge pile and will go away soon. Now I can breath a little easier. Felting some "blocks" to use in crazy quilt. Not sure this will pass the quilt police, but it is fun.
